Bhikkhuni Minh Túc project in Vietnam Gia Lai
In the city of Gia Lai, Pleiku Province/Vietnam, many of the approximately 34 minorities live in poverty. This minority population lives mainly from field work in coffee plantations and on daily wages. The children are usually taken to the coffee plantations because their parents cannot afford to send them to kindergarten.
The children can come to Bhikkhuni Minh Túc to play and learn. Bhikkhuni Minh Túc studied Buddhism in India and completed her doctorate. She then returned to Vietnam. Since then she has lived in Gia Lai and has adopted 10 children herself, whom she found as babies. In the pictures you can see her with her children. She teaches the children reading, writing, English and meditation. The children are currently learning in the hallway of her pagoda. She needs a classroom so that the children can learn in a suitable environment. She cannot do this without financial support.
Regentropfen e.V. is contributing 3000 euros to this project, which has already been transferred to the association "Vietnamesische Gemeinschaft im Odenwald e.V." for forwarding to Bhikkhuni Minh Túc. Our association Regentropfen e.V. is represented at the Children's Culture Day together with the association "Vietnamesische Gemeinschaft im Odenwald e.V.".

Children's Culture Day 2024
The father of a needy family from Sri Lanka/Nainamadama died of cancer at the age of 44. Only 4 weeks passed between the onset of the disease and his death. The eldest daughter has since dropped out of school to help the family.
Thanks to the help of numerous donors, we were able to provide immediate aid and buy food and clothing for the family. In addition, we were able to purchase an industrial sewing machine worth 300 euros for the mother so that she can earn a small income from sewing to help her help herself!
We would like to thank all donors for their generous support!
In addition to direct donors, we have received support from the organization "Main-KInzig-Kreis hilft Beruwela".
In the next phase, the focus will be on securing sustainable livelihoods and schooling for the children.
Please continue to support us!
